Mitchell Gold, in Statesville, NC, was a 240,000 square foot insurance roof replacement project due to hail damage. The project included both re-cover and tear-off of the existing systems.
The dining hall at Mecklenburg County’s BSA Camp Grimes near Nebo, NC was replaced due to fire. X-Tek installed the new standing seam metal roof system. The metal roof panels were 72 feet long and had to be fabricated on site since they were too long to ship. This was a challenging project for many reasons, but it turned out beautifully.
Fletcher Business Park
A fellow roofing contractor was about to run out of time on the replacement of a 700,000 square foot roofing project in Fletcher, NC. Winter was fast approaching and the project needed to get finished, so they called in X-Tek to help. We installed the last 160,000 square feet of the project in just over 30 days, while the original contractor finished up their other sections. The building owner was happy, and so was our fellow roofing contractor.
MAFIC is a start-up specialty manufacturer who had purchased an existing building in Shelby, NC for their U.S. headquarters. The old building’s existing roof was well beyond its useful life and required total replacement, but that wasn’t in the budget for this start-up. X-Tek proposed and installed an innovative V2T system, at half the cost of the full replacement, and with a 10-year warranty.
The owner of this facility had a new tenant scheduled to move in and needed a new roof. X-Tek installed a new 120,000 square foot TPO roof system, and worked with the HVAC contractor to remove 14 large rooftop units and replace a significant amount of steel roof deck.
